ABOUT THE CLIENT
Engage Art Therapy is owned by Lucy Jones who is a qualified and experienced Art Therapist. Lucy specialises in Art Therapy for children, but also works with teens and adults. Lucy usually works closely with groups within a school environment or at her private practice in Suffolk. Lucy is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council and is a member of the British Association of Art Therapists.
BRIEF
Art Therapy is a form of psychotherapy that uses art materials as the way of communication. Creative therapy can help a child’s psychological, emotional, social and physical development. Embarking on the route of self-employment, Lucy was establishing her own business. Building the foundation of her online presence through a website tailored to her needs and goals, in order to get found by new clients and to have a central place where individuals and schools could be referred, to find out more information.
CONCEPT
The client specifically wanted a website that was slightly out of the ordinary, the focus of her business involves using creative outlets to help children to find a way to express their thoughts and feelings, she wanted this playfulness to reflect within the website design. The look and feel of the site revolves around being simple, professional and colourful!
As well as the design and build of the website, I advised the client on content for search engine optimisation (SEO) and marketing purposes. Fully optimised for mobile viewing, a responsive website adapts to all device sizes such as mobile and tablet. As well as creating a positive user experience, having a responsive website is essential for improving your website ranking on Google and getting found online.
